Overview
Cranes and contract lifts in Swansea
We supply mobile cranes with operators and carry out contract lifts across Swansea and South West Wales, for loads from 20kg to 1,000 tonnes.
Lifting round Swansea leans towards heavy industry and precision work more than city-centre building. Tell us what yours is and we will plan the crane and the method together.
Where do we work?
Every SA postcode, South West Wales around it, and the rest of the UK.
What can we send?
All-terrain mobile cranes for heavy plant and the docks, city cranes and light truck cranes for tight yards, and our electric pick and carry cranes indoors.
Never planned a lift?
Then it is a contract lift. We survey, plan and supervise it, fully insured.
Only budgeting?
Send the details and photos for a desktop survey, usually quoted the same day.

Swansea
Lifting across Swansea
We cover the city and the docks, the estates up the Tawe valley, Gower and out along the M4 to Neath, Port Talbot and Llanelli.
Where we lift
The city and the docks
The centre, the docks and the SA1 waterfront, Sketty and Uplands
Up the valley
Morriston, Llansamlet, Clydach and the Enterprise Park
West
Fforestfach, Waunarlwydd, Gorseinon, Mumbles and Gower
Along the M4
Neath, Port Talbot, Llanelli and Ammanford
What we plan for
The M4 junctions
Junctions 42 to 47 of the M4 serve the area, with the A483 into the centre. Large cranes are routed round low bridges and weight limits.
Heavy industrial sites
On process and heavy industry sites we work to inductions, permits to work and exclusion zones, inside the shutdown window.
Precision work
On aerospace and medical component work the tolerance and the vibration limits shape the method as much as the lift.
The bay
Dock and waterfront land is reclaimed, and wind off the bay can stop a lift. We check the bearing and plan round the wind limits.
Questions
Common questions
Can you work during a shutdown?
Yes. Give us the dates and the lift details and we plan the crane, the route and the set-up around the window.
Can you place a machine tool accurately?
Yes. The crane gets it into the building, then skates or jacking put it in position. Tell us the tolerance and whether vibration matters.
Do you cover Neath, Port Talbot and Llanelli?
Yes, along with Ammanford, Carmarthen and Gower. Send us the site postcode.
How do you size the crane?
From the weight at radius, the distance from the crane’s centre to where the load lands, plus the hook block and rigging.
